The M Sc Nursing is a two years program. The University examinations are held annually. The teaching is incorporated with clinical experience in respective specialties. The students are required to submit a dissertation as a partial fulfillment of the program. Students are given an experience of organizing a workshop and conference with the support of faculty.

Eligibility

  • Passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. In nursing degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS), or any other university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS, Karnataka.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after obtaining B Sc Nursing (Basic) in a hospital or a Nursing educational institution/community health setting. For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. In nursing degree, no such experience is needed after graduation.
  • Registered with the State Nursing Council as a registered nurse and registered midwife.
  • Foreign nationals: (including Nepali, Bangladeshi, Bhutani, and Tibetan refugee) seeking admission to M. Sc Nursing program must have valid certificate of registered nurse by their own country except for OBG specialty.

  • Examination
    • Students shall have university examination at the end of each year. Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical separately.
    • Class tests will be conducted periodically to evaluate the student's performance in each subject. The average marks will be sent to the university as internal assessment, for both theory and practical.
    • A model exam will be conducted before the university examination.
