VENUE: SECOND FLOOR VINS AND RC THEME: OUR NURSES OUR FUTURE ORGANIZED BY: SNA HOSTED BY: SARIN MARIA TOM (Overall programme co-ordinator) AGENDA: VINS AND RC hosted Nurses Day starting with the theme for 2025 “OUR NURSES OUR FUTURE.” The SNA of VINS AND RC commemorated International Nurses Day on May 12th, 2025. The event aimed to honor the dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions of nurses to the healthcare system and society at large. The programme started at 10:00 am, hosted by Sarin Maria Tom, a 5th-semester BSc Nursing student. The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the light of service and care that nurses bring into the lives of patients. This was followed by a welcome speech by Jyothasana George, a 3rd-semester BSc Nursing student. A special segment was dedicated to honoring Florence Nightingale, with tributes from the Principal, Vice Principal, Heads of Departments, and SNA executives. This was followed by a tribute song performed by Leon Shajan, also a 3rd-semester BSc Nursing student. The programme proceeded with a significant address by the Principal, Dr. Jasmine Joseph. To acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the students, a prize distribution ceremony was held. The programme came to its end with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mohammed Shahin of 5^th semester Bsc (N) .The programme ended with National Anthem.
