Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre, Bangalore, proudly participated in a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing patient safety and nursing excellence. In collaboration with the Association of Nurse Executives (India) [ANEI] and Einstein World Records, VINS&RC joined hands in a synchronized World Record Attempt Training on “Prevention of Medication Administration Errors”, held from April 10th to 12th, 2025.

This pioneering training program aimed to create the largest simultaneous learning experience across India. The goal was to standardize awareness and equip nurses with practical skills and strategies to significantly reduce medication errors—a major concern in clinical safety and quality care. The training was meticulously organized as per the national protocol shared by ANEI, with sessions conducted at fixed time slots across three consecutive days:

• 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM
• 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM
• 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM

Each session adhered to strict guidelines for participation, documentation, and delivery. Trainers and SPOCs from Vydehi ensured:

• Accurate manual attendancetracking before and after sessions.
• Geo-tagged photographsat three critical time points (beginning, during, and end of session).
• Complete session video recordings, submitted as per ANEI protocol.

All trainers strictly followed the ANEI-approved presentation and training script, promoting consistency across the nation. The training focused on empowering nursing professionals with effective strategies to minimize medication administration errors—covering communication protocols, verification practices, documentation standards, and patient involvement.

The efforts of the VINS&RC team, students, and faculty were applauded for their active involvement and professionalism throughout the event. Their contribution not only aimed at setting a world record but also demonstrated a strong commitment to patient safety, continuous professional development, and global standards in nursing education. As Vydehi continues its journey toward nursing excellence, this event stands as a testament to its dedication to innovation, education, and holistic patient care.
