A Faculty Development Programme on “Simulation-Based Education” was conducted on 31st August 2026. The session focused on the practical application of simulation in nursing education and the session also emphasized the importance of prebriefing and debriefing as essential components of simulation, helping learners understand expectations before the activity and reflect on their performance after the simulation.
The facilitators demonstrated the use of moulages and clinical props to create realistic patient scenarios. A special emphasis was placed on preparing simulation materials using simple, low-cost household articles, highlighting creativity and resource utilization in simulation-based teaching.
The Demonstration Emphasized:
The session was interactive and helped faculty members understand how simulation can be incorporated effectively into nursing education to enhance clinical skills, confidence, critical thinking and experiential learning.
The programme reinforced the message that “Simulation is not about expensive equipment; it is about creating meaningful clinical experiences.” The programme concluded with appreciation to all the faculty members for their active participation.
