The Department of Adult Health Nursing at Vydehi Campus commemorated World Hypertension Day 2025 on May 17, aligning with the global theme emphasizing accurate blood pressure measurement and control to enhance longevity. The event aimed to raise awareness about hypertension, its risks, and the importance of regular monitoring.

2.Inauguration Program
The formal inauguration took place at the CTPN room at 10:00 AM. The session commenced with a prayer song, followed by an in-depth discussion led by students on lifestyle modifications for hypertension prevention and management. Topics covered included dietary changes, physical activity, stress management, and the significance of regular health check-ups. The orientation concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a 3rd semester student.
Outcomes and Reflections
The event successfully heightened awareness about hypertension among participants and attendees. Students gained practical knowledge and experience in BP monitoring and patient education, reinforcing the critical role of nurses in community health promotion.
