Obstetrics And Gynaecology Lab

he Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) Laboratory at Vydehi is a comprehensive facility designed to provide hands-on training to nursing students in the specialized care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. Specifically, the Nursing College Library at Vydehi Institute of Nursing complements the institution’s academic offerings with a comprehensive collection of 3937 books, regularly augmented with new additions. Books and Journals are systematically cataloged alphabetically, facilitating easy retrieval for student research needs. The library also subscribes to both international and Indian journals, including RGUHS-Nursing and e-journals, enabling students to stay abreast of the latest research in the field. Furthermore, students receive training to navigate e-journal platforms, ensuring they can effectively utilize digital resources provided by the university. Nursing College Library Rules and Regulations:

1. Sign in the Gate register while entering and exiting the library.
2. Observe strict silence and discipline in and near the library premises
3. Books are allowed for 3 days at the most. Text books can be issued to the deserving students.
4. Reference books, rare books, magazine / periodicals shall not be issued, except in very special case at the discretion of the librarian.
5. The students will have to appear in person to get the books issued / re-issued.
6. Students must carry their identity card with them whenever they enter the college library.  They can be refused admission of the library or can be turned out of the library, if they fail to produce their identity cards on demand.
7. Overdue charge of Re. 10/- per day for first 07 days and Rs. 100 per book per day after 07 days, if the book is kept beyond the permissible period of loan.
8. Damaging or marking or defacing of books is highly objectionable. Penalty may also be imposed besides replacement of damaged books.
9. Not more than one book can be taken at a time, for a period of 03 days.
10. Bags, Umbrella, files, Camera, Mobile Phones, Laptop or any other digital gadgets etc. Are not permitted into the Library.
11. No eatables are allowed into the library.
12. Switch off or in vibration mode, mobile when you are in library.
13. Not to indulge in tearing off, marking or dog-earing of the pages of a book.
14. Students and Staff Members are permitted to take only one book to the library for taking note. Other personal belongings should kept in the Property cupboard. We are not responsible for any loss of your books/materials.
15. Not to create indiscipline in the library and observe library rules strictly.
16. Any misuse of library privileges will be considered as a serious breach of discipline and the Principal can take such action as is necessary after consulting the Librarian.
17. Principal may change any or all the Library Rules without any notice.

The Digital Library has designed, developed and evolved the state-of-the-art HELINET Consortium of scholarly international e-journals, e-books and databases to meet the needs of academic and research community of health science disciplines in the state of Karnataka through Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

HELINET – Health Science Library & Information Network conceived by the RGUHS since 2002.The HELINET Consortium was started with a vision to improve the quality of education and research in the colleges affiliated to RGUHS in the state of Karnataka through enhanced access to high quality medical literature. HELINET’s goal is to deliver information to user’s desk-top, with round-the-clock-access. The Consortium has successfully accomplished the task of developing an e-journal and e-book consortium and a resource sharing model that networks 660+ health sciences colleges in the state of Karnataka.
