LAMP LIGHTING AND OATH TAKING CEREMONY 2025

Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony of BSc Nursing I Year (2025 to 2029 batch) and GNM I Year (2025 to 2028 batch) students conducted on 28th February, 2025 at Lecture Hall-3, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre.

Program started at 10.32am with the procession of the students.

Principals of AHS,Pharmacy,Physiotherapy,Vice principal of VIMS and RC, HODS of different depts,HR incharges,chief finance officer,Parents of freshers,awardees,all faculty and BSC V sem students were participated in the programme.

BSC IV year students and GNM lll years helped in organizing the ceremony

Invocation dance done by 5th semester, BSc Nursing students.

 Welcome address given by Mrs.Nandini, Prof and HOD of Community Health Nursing followed by lighting of the inaugural lamp by the dignitaries Dr. Sanjay Peerapur, Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing, Hubbli, Major Ushasree Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Vydehi group of Institutions, Dr.Jasmine Joseph Principal, Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre and Mrs. Beena Chacko, Principal, VSH Institute of Nursing Sciences.

Dr. Sanjay Peerapur, Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing, Hubbli, Major Ushasree Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Vydehi group of Institutions, Dr.Jasmine Joseph Principal, Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre and Mrs. Beena Chacko, Principal, VSH Institute of Nursing Sciences lit the lamp and passed on to students to facilitate the lamp lighting of the novice students.

Annual report presented by Dr.Jasmine Joseph, Principal,VINS & RC started with affiliation of college, courses offered by VINS & RC, also presented about various activities held during the academic year 2024 – 25, results and about faculty achievement.

Addresses by dignitaries begin with Dr. Sanjay Peerapur, Principal to the audience. In his address, he highlighted about importance of service required by nursing profession with compassion, commitment, competence and encouraged the students to face challenges whenever needed and to be brave in their career. He congratulated all students to shine in profession. He also highlighted how he fought coming out of his way for the rights of male nursing aspirants for the eligibility in army nursing.

Major Ushasree Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Vydehi group of Institutions, appreciated the procession and compared the drill which performed by freshers with Army service. She highlighted the importance of lamp lighting.

Mr. Ranganathaiah, Prof.,VINS AND RC felicitated the chief guest, Dr. Sanjay Peerapur, Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing, Hubbli.

Certificates distributed for all batches of class toppers who secured first three ranks and distinctions by the guests to motivate the student’s hard work and commitment who got academic excellence in academic year 2024.Performance improvement award and perfect attendance award also given to eligible students to motivate the students further.

Mrs. Bhagyalaxmi, Professor proposed the vote of thanks.

Programme ended with National anthem followed by the recession. After that all dignitaries joined for refreshment.
