NURORA 2026- PRE NURSES’ DAY CULTURAL FESTIVAL REPORT

The Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research Centre organized “Nurora 2026”, a two-day cultural and literary festival on 7th and 8th May 2026 as a prelude to the International Nurses’ Day celebrations. The festival aimed to encourage creativity, teamwork, communication skills, leadership qualities, and student participation beyond academics.

To promote sportsmanship, unity, leadership, and healthy competition among students, all participants were divided into four houses namely Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Amber. Throughout the festival, students actively represented their respective houses with great enthusiasm, coordination, and team spirit.

The first day of the festival focused on artistic and literary events. Competitions such as Face Painting, Pencil Drawing, Crafting, Rangoli, Poem Recitation, Extempore, and Quiz were conducted with enthusiastic participation from students across all nursing streams and batches. The events provided a platform for students to exhibit their artistic talents, spontaneous speaking abilities, creativity, and intellectual skills. The quiz competition particularly created an atmosphere of healthy academic rivalry and active audience engagement.

The second day highlighted performing arts and analytical activities. Events including Solo and Group Dance, Solo and Group Song, Instrumental Performance, Mime, Debate, and Model Making were organized successfully. The performances showcased students’ talents in music, choreography, public speaking, and conceptual presentation. The debate competition reflected the participants’ critical thinking and communication skills, while mime performances effectively conveyed social and healthcare-related themes through expressive movements.
