A soft skill training programme was conducted on 28/01/2025 and 29/01/2025 in Vydehi Medical College, seminar hall. The students of Nursing and Paramedical attended the programme.
The first session was conducted on 28/01/2025 (Tuesday) at 1-30 pm by Respected Col . Ravinderanath Thiwari. It was on personal grooming and professional etiquettes. He talked on the importance of grooming that included nails, clothes, hair, accessories, decadents, posture and overall cleanliness.
He also mentioned “good grooming is not first looking good but it’s about feeling good and confident”.
He also gave an idea about role of hygiene in maintaining good health that included. Bathing daily, brushing twice day, surrounding should be clean Regular exercising etc.
He explained about understanding the role of etiquette in enhancing the professional and social image.

- How to keep communication formal
He also added up with digital etiquette , handshake etiquette during etiquette, cultural awareness and basic manners like please and thank you.
The second session was conducted on 29/01/2025(Wednesday) at 1.30 pm by respected Col. Piyush Bahuguna.
The session was based on effective communication, how to maintain a first impression.
Sir also discussed about telephone etiquette, how to maintain body language and eye contact. He also gave an idea manner of touch and manner of walking.
The session was highly interactive and informative. Students gained valuable insights into professional etiquette that will help them during clinical postings, academic presentations, and future professional roles.
The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their doubts. Feedback from participants indicated that such sessions are crucial for shaping their professional behaviour and confidence.
