REPORT ON WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

On the occasion of Women’s Day Vydehi group of institution hosted Women’s Day celebration at Sai Keshava auditorium on 08/03/2025. The program was started at 10.30am hosted by VYMAK degree college students. The program commenced with Ganesha Vandana by Nursing students (Ms. Aleesha and Ms. Menakshi from 3rd Sem B Sc Nursing) followed by welcome speech and lighting of lamp by chief guest Dr. Kalpaja D A chairperson of Vydehi group of institution and guest of honour Gp Captain Shahla Yazdani OB-GYN, Command hospital, Bengaluru. Followed by a speech by Dr. Kalpaja D A chairperson of Vydehi group of institution about gender equality, importance of Women’s Day and women empowerment.

The intercollegiate dance competition was began by the students of Vydehi group of institution. The first dance performance by Vydehi Dental college and next dance performance by the students of Physiotherapy.

Address by a Guest of honour Gp Captain Shahla Yazdani OB-GYN, Command hospital, Bengaluru emphasized about opportunities for medical professionals in army setting and also, she briefed about work – personnel life balance among women.

Later to the speech the results of girl students competition (Never say NO challenge) first prize was won by Ms. Anushka Singh (1st sem B Sc Nursing).

The program was proceeded by a dance performance by students of degree college and a dance performance by the students of Nursing college (Angle maria joe, Sneha Benson, Sneha maria 5th Sem B Sc Nursing, Aleesha, Nischitha 3rd Sem B Sc Nursing, Essa Roy, Ann rose Siju, Sreya Sajeev, Niveditha s Prasad and Parvathy G Nair from 1st Sem B Sc Nursing) followed by result declaration foe male students competition ( Write for Her, Win for Her).

The program was then followed by the students of Medical college and a dance performance by the students of Pharmacy college.

The program continued with result declaration and felicitation of Treasure Hunt for male and female staffs of Vydehi, 2nd prize was won by a team Jewelz Dr Jasmine Joseph Principal of VINS & RC as the team captain and team members from dept. of Nursing Dr. Prof. Kavitha Reddy and Ms. Ankita saha. Followed by announcement result for dance competition. First prize was won  by the Nursing department and Pharmacy college of Vydehi.

The vote of thanks was proposed, program ended with National anthem.
