REPORT ON WORLD MALARIA DAY CELEBRATION – 2025
The world Malaria day is celebrated on 25th April of each year. The theme for world Malaria day 2025 is “ Malaria ends with us; Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite” this theme emphasizes the need for renewed global commitment, innovation and sustained action to accelerate progress towards malaria elimination.
Vydehi institute of nursing sciences and research centre was conducted the world malaria day on 25th April 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Prof.Jasmine Joseph, principal , VINS & RC , from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at kannamangala, rural community area, Avalahalli, Bangalore. The programme was organized by prof. Nandhini Department of community health nursing along with 5th semester batch of B.Sc. nursing students. The student organized rally and health education at rural community area- kannamangala.
The students highlighted the gathering through detailed health education on malaria prevention and it’s control by various environmental measures, personal protection, early diagnosis and treatment, importance of community engagement and debunking myths and misconceptions.
The Kannamangala community people were very supportive and gained knowledge on the topic and assured to cooperate in daily life.
